DAY 2 of Rash – He woke up the next morning with the rash at his peak. He whole body was swollen, especially his face. It looked horrible and thankfully he still wasn’t too affected and was happy enough to run through the house playing. It did start to get itchy for him towards the end of the day and we were up ALL night with him crying and feeling very uncomfortable.
DAY 3 of Rash – The rash started to look much better on his face but it was still covering most of his body, sun and heat aggregated the rash so we have been cooped up in the house since Friday but have gone out at least once a day for a car ride to get out of the house!
Day 4 of Rash – The rash was now gone from his face, chest and back but still on his legs and arms – we went outside today but only for about 15 minutes since the heat was still aggrevating the rash. As soon as we would come inside and cool off, it went away quickly. More car rides….
Day 5 of Rash – On the whole, he is looking much better but you can still see a little of the rash on his legs only. We were able to go outside for 35 minutes!
Day 6 of Rash – I can’t see any of the rash until we go outside and the heat will cause the rash to show a little on his legs. From what I’ve read they say they will have the rash for about 7 days which makes sense that he’s had 7 days of antibiotics building up in his system so it’s taking about the same amount of time for it to get flushed out of his system.
It’s been a crazy couple of weeks so we went for a long walk outside today and Luke definately earned an ice cream cone to celebrate the end of the allergy rash and being on house arrest all week! I know we all go through stressful times when our kids are unwell – some times we really DO deserve a medal for what we go through as parents, don’t we?! I want to hear YOUR sick kid(s) stories – you know, the ones you were just trying to survive through!! I know y’all can relate with me!
