We’re always talking about how important it is to take time out for yourself – there are little ways to give yourself a break when you’re busy being SuperMom! This past weekend, we were invited to go on a girls night out dinner with a few girlfriends. Laughter really is therapy for the soul, I know it felt great to get out of the house and have dinner and talk with other Moms going through the same things we are…Motherhood! Yes, there may be a few distinct differences between Mom’s of 1 and Mom’s of multiples – it still amazes me that it is possible to make dinner, feed multiple kids, clean the kitchen and nurse another one at the same time! Talk about the multi-tasking SuperMom!
One of the things I love about being a Mom is being able to join forces with other Moms who can talk you down off the ledge on your bad days! At the end of the day, whether we’re a Mom of 1 crying on the kitchen counter or a Mom of 5 crying on the kitchen counter we’re all in need of a little support and…some laughter with friends to know we’re not in this alone! Give yourself a “time out” and a pat on the back for your hard work caring for your family! I love learning from other moms and we’re grateful to have friends we can turn to when you need to de-stress and vent about the joys of Motherhood! To quote one very wise friend “There’s no where I’d rather be than at home… wanting to kill my kids!” Use this as a reminder to get your girlfriends together and laugh a little, it does wonders for the stress of Motherhood!
