When I was out of town recently seeing my cousins new baby girl, I was away for 4 days and that left the hubs to keep Luke busy – which is a FULL time job! He decided to go to Michaels and get a few things to do a fun painting craft with him that would make a great Mother’s Day gift – especially for grandparents!
He got all different sizes of canvas and acrylic paints (they came in a set) and together they painted some really neat prints! We just got our living room painted (which only cost us $250 for our huge room (including the paint) to have a pro come do it, email me if you want her details!) and we needed a few things for the walls so when I got home they totally surprised me with these great paintings which we have already hung one up and it looks great!
We did paint the edges of the canvas a darker color to finish it off and it took about a day to dry. You can get really creative and do hand prints or use colors you like that will match your decor! We have already given a set of gray and blue to the Grandparents for Easter since they also have been doing some painting at their house and were looking for pictures! So if you’re looking for something creative but meaningful this Mother’s day consider doing a fun painting craft that doesn’t cost much! And…here’s a coupon for you to use if you’re looking to do something crafty for Mother’s Day! You can print others from here! Enjoy!
