Yes. The answer is absolutely….yes, I live in a zoo! Or at least it feels like it more than usual this week! My parents are out of town for the week and we are watching their two dogs…and 7 chickens….and 2 baby chicks! Sooo, that makes our house pretty exciting this week because we have: 3 horses, 4 dogs, 9 chickens! Yee-ha, doesn’t this sound like fun! Especially when you throw a toddler into the mix!
Luke was laughing at me last night running around after the chickens to put them into the coops for the night. Ha! Between the 3 different kinds of chicken feed, 3 different kinds of dog food and the horse feed Julian and I are looking at each other saying “do we live in a zoo?!” It’s a bit of a comedy sketch around here lately so it looks like we’re in for a week of fun!
I’m so glad we love animals and I’m glad we have a sense of humor around here! It’s times like this that we tend to have the most fun because we laugh our way through it wondering what we’ve gotten ourselves into! Thankfully, it’s only a week and we’re happy to help considering I’m sure the only way we get a vacation around here is thanks to my parents for returning the favor to look after all our animals as well.
I’ll be sure to take pictures as my week goes by of funny things that happen, something tells me there will be plenty! As usual, we have a packed week with a lot to do. I had a great productive weekend and even got a couple dozen fresh blueberry muffins in the freezer to pull out for a quick snack!
On another note entirely….anyone have experience making cake pops?? Have a good recipe for it?? I’d be grateful for any helpful tips and/or tricks because I’m going to try making them for a party next weekend!
