Our good friends over at Macaroni Kid are doing a Halloween Costume Swap! See below for further details!
Saturday, Oct 8 from 1-3pm at Ft. Liberty Playground PLUS early drop off locations!
Updated Friday, Sept. 23: Location confirmed for swap, plus drop off locations announced. Updated info is in bold letters
Yes, it’s already time to start thinking about Halloween and what the kiddos will be wearing this year–and really, the kids have been talking about it for a while in my house.
As a way to get ready, avoid spending a ton of money and get rid of some of the extra costume items laying around my house, I’ve decided to participate in the National Costume Swap Day ™ on Saturday, October 8 from 1-3pm at Fort Liberty Playground (6845 Van Gorden Rd, Liberty Twp.), inside the pavilions! That way the kids can come and play while you swap! Check out the site for more info on ths nationwide movement! http://www.greenhalloween.org/CostumeSwap/index.html
The wonderful people at Febreze are sending us some goodies to help out with the event, too!
We are looking for costumes for kids–from infants to teens–in good condition (no obvious tears or stains) to be placed on hangars and either dropped off early or brought on the day of the event. You can either drop off the costumes early starting Monday, Sept. 26 and get an “event voucher” at Safe Ship of West Chester, 7753 Cox Lane, West Chester or email me at marier@macaronikid to get my address and set up a time to drop them off at my home. I am hoping for two more locations for drop offs and I will announce them ASAP.
Or, you can opt to bring your costumes the day of the event.
Here’s how it works: For every costume you bring, you get to take a costume! You can also purchase extra costumes (i.e. if you only brought 1 costume to swap, but want two) for $3. All proceeds will be donated to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital!
Thanks Marie! We’re excited about this event and will be there!
