I woke up wondering what day it was today….always a sign of a long week, right?! I am SO thankful it’s Friday, mostly because we have some fun things lined up this weekend with Luke including the Disney on Ice with Mickey Mouse – his favorite!
A few people have asked me for an update on Luke so here it is…
We had our first “normal” day on Tuesday (24 hours without any symptoms) so we braved it out on Wednesday and had a great first day out of the house! He’s feeling all better now and just when we were so excited to have our uninterrupted sleep back I realized I had planned for our puppy, Brody to have his op to be neutered – which took place yesterday. He’s doing pretty good, just a little shell-shocked! He woke up in the night and couldn’t get comfortable so he ended up climbing on our bed and curled up to me, buried his face in my neck and slept the rest of the night ok. ordinarily, we have a strict no dog (or kid!) rule about our bed but I decided he really needed it this once and I caved.
We have a few errands to run this morning and then I need to put the finishing touches on Luke’s Halloween costume! Yes, I’m making it (with inspiration from Pinterest!) because that was my fondest memories as a kid – being creative with running around the house to try to “make” things into a costume! I did look at the pre-made costumes from a few of the stores and just didn’t feel the Halloween magic that I felt as a kid making our costumes! I will be sure to post pics once it’s all done – and it’s worth noting that this one is super quick and easy (with no sewing!) and inexpensive which I love even more!
What I’m not sure about is what I’m going to do with all this Halloween candy – I really liked Lindsay’s idea of the Candy Fairy that she does with her kids, what is the Halloween rule in your house with all the candy?
