Inspired by pinterest I made Luke a rocket man for Halloween this year! I found a tutu half off (I paid $8!) at JoAnn Fabrics for the flames and bought him a grey sweat suit at Target…which we will wear over and over again, especially for gym class! We bought two bottles of soda for our bonfire party a couple of weeks ago and saved them and then got silver spray paint and I found reflective ribbon for the straps that I stuck onto the pack (made of a pizza box!) using silver duct tape!
We had a great weekend, including going to our first “Trunk or Treat” that our township does every year in a local park. Luke had a lot of fun and after showing him how to hold his pumpkin pail up and say “trick or treat” he was running to each car and didn’t look back for Mom and Dad!
Also, I found a great article from Mamapedia about what to do with all that leftover Halloween Candy! There were 10 great ideas, including a couple of my favorites…
- Save Halloween candy for gingerbread houses! A fun Christmas craft!!
- Send your leftovers to the troops via Adopt-a-hero! (Great idea!!)
