Before I begin, I want to digest that nothing of what I’m about to write is paid or sponsored in any way. There are a few things that I’ve been loving lately and thought it was worth putting out into the blogosphere.
The first is this nifty milk frother that we got from Target for under $30.
Julian usually warms his milk every morning before adding his coffee from our much loved Keurig coffee maker. Yes, we are one cup a day coffee drinkers so we really love the ease of our Keurig so we can have a cup without making a half or whole pot of coffee. My one gripe about this milk frother is that the milk doesn’t get super hot, we have to run it twice to get the hot temp we like BUT what I do love is how easy it is to make hot cocoa for Luke and it’s at the PERFECT temperature for him! My fav coffee is a cappuccino and this one comes with two attachments – one for latte and one for super frothing! It’s not the best one on the market by far but for the price point I think it does what it says on the box and we’re happy with the purchase after using it the past 6 weeks.
My next guilty pleasure are these…
They are Newton’s Fruit Thins and they are divine. It’s a snack that I can feel satisfied with (and won’t kill me!) and makes feel happy. I’ve tried the blueberry and choc raspberry and both are delicious. I can’t always find them because they actually sell out at the grocery store but I encourage you to try them if they ever cross your path – it’s a great snack that I’m truly enjoying at the moment and I really don’t feel like I have much in the cupboard that I genuinely want to snack on that doesn’t make me regret it an hour later!
The last thing that we are splurging on is this blue cheese that makes my mouth water just thinking about it!
I picked this blue cheese up at Whole Foods last week while I was there buying almost 60 lbs of ground beef on sale for only $2.99/lb! (Don’t worry, not all 60 lbs was for me….it was split between myself, Jennie and my Mom!) I needed the blue cheese for a recipe for blue cheese stuffed flank steak and as soon as Julian and I tasted it our eyes lit up because it was prob the best blue cheese we’ve gotten from a grocery store hands down. I really don’t like having to go out of my way and into a store for one or two things so I prob wouldn’t go to Whole Foods just for this item. However, if you have a special recipe that calls for blue cheese and you need a few other things it’s absolutely worth stopping at Whole Foods for this stuff! We are planning to be there next week for their Half Pint Kids club so it’s absolutely something I will remember to get while I’m there because we are now thinking of things to have just so we can use this blue cheese!! YUM!
Happy Friday everyone and I’d like to end on this note with a cute picture of my two fur-babies staying warm cuddling on their dog bed this morning….have a great weekend! 🙂
