For the past couple years I had been thinking about and wanting to give Luke a daily multi-vitamin. He’s always been a great eater, with only a couple things he really doesn’t like (mainly lettuce, mushrooms and cantaloupe) so I felt like he was getting a pretty good, varied diet with mostly natural organic (when possible) foods. I know there are so many vitamins out there that a waste of money and because there are SO many different kids vitamins on the market I’ve always felt too overwhelmed to make a choice. I thought about taking the Koala Pals Vitamin from Melaleuca since I love my cleaning products from them but when a good friend started telling me about the Usanimal Vitamins for kids I was blown away at how great they looked and it didn’t even compare to the other vitamins I’ve seen on the market, including from Melaleuca!
This is a great chart to teach kids about nutrition and what our bodies need from a young age. USANA’s support for healthier kids amazing. USANA has partnered is working with Dr. Oz and HealthCorps to Fight Childhood Obesity through a fun teen cooking competition!
What I love the most about Usanimals is how involved they get kids in the process of eating healthy. “Consider that approximately 12.5 million American children and adolescents, ages 2 to 19 years, are obese,” Dr. Oz said. “In New York State alone, obesity among children and adolescents has tripled over the last three decades. This is among the many issues that HealthCorps is committed to address, and with USANA’s generosity, we are able to do much more with our programs.”
They also have great recommendations for kids who struggle with ADD/ADHD! For more information about USANA’s vitamins for kids (or Adults!) email Lori Morgan at: firstname.lastname@example.org or visit her website! A couple years ago Jennie did a cleanse that helped reset her body from craving sugar as she was struggling with high blood pressure and trying to get a little healthier. She used USANA’s Reset 5 day program and LOVED it. You can read about her experience with it HERE and HERE.
So far, we have been loving the Usanimals vitamins and Luke doesn’t miss a day asking for his vitamin. It creates a great teachable moment with him to talk about eating healthy every day. I was surprised to hear this conversation in the car this week:
Me: Luke, what do you want for lunch when we get home?
Luke: Macaroni and Cheese…and milk!
Me: Ok, sounds good.
Luke: But Mom! We NEED a vegetable! How about green beans?
Love to hear that he’s learning about being healthy and at least some of what I’m trying to teach him is sticking! ha!
How do you feel about vitamins and would you like to try Usanimals?
